Feature: Would Legalizing Marijuana Make Life Better For Black Americans?

0

Written by The Grio on October 21, 2011 5:23 pm

A recent Gallup poll indicates that 50 percent of Americans are in favor of legalizing the recreational use of marijuana. African-Americans tend to hold more conservative views on drug legalization, in spite of the fact that African-Americans are far more likely to be arrested and prosecuted for marijuana possession than their white counterparts.

Proponents of marijuana legalization say that this perspective might change if there were greater awareness around the foundation of the “War on Drugs” in the United States. “There is a lot of evidence to suggest that the origin of these laws was intended to be [utilized as] the new Jim Crow. In order to criminalize large swaths of the population,” said James Clark, a criminal defense attorney in Oakland, California.
African-Americans are often categorized as politically liberal. However, the black church has a large influence on the moral compass of the African-American community. This often-conservative influence might provide an insight into why African-Americans are against relaxing the drug laws that often split up their own families.

Be Anxious For Nothing

0

Lately these days, I have been reminded of sermons I use to hear as a kid. I, like most people I know, spent more time in Church as a kid, then I did outside of it. Not that it was problematic, because I don't believe I would be the Man I am today, without some of the things I was taught and learned by watching Church-folk. Some lessons have stayed close to my heart than others. Particularly, the message about Being Anxious. Everyday, I have to remind myself to slow down and be mindful of a passage in the Bible that states, "Be Anxious For Nothing...." (Philippians 4:6)

Whether you believe like I believe or not, this scripture presents a unique revelation. When one is Anxious, they tend to be stressed or over-whelmed because they are seeking an outcome to something before it is time. Anxiousness can cause people to make improper decisions and render incorrect judgments about things that they would not have if they allowed time to take its course. Being Anxious can cause one to loose hope, faith, and belief in yourself and others. I know all of us get a little antsy/Anxious every now and again, but we have to be reminded to Be Anxious For Nothing. GOD or whatever ever Deity you believe in/serve has a plan for your life, that will most certainly come to fruition without your nervousness, doubt, and uncertainty. Be Anxious For Nothing. Have a little FAITH that in the end, all will work out in your favor.

Selfless Versus Selfish

0

For as long as I can remember, I have always put other people first in my life. I don't just mean loved ones or people I know, just people in general. My ultimate goal has always been to make people happy. I grew up in difficult circumstances, so I aimed to use my humor and super-ridiculous personality to bring joy and happyness to those around me. Now, three decades later, as I Self-reflect I am realizing that I am a little too Selfless and not Selfish enough.

I never thought that I would ever consider being Selfish, but I am coming to the realization that people tend to take advantage of your niceness. That shouldn't be shocking to me, but I use to be so focused on making people happy, I never really cared if the person(s) was using me. I mean, as I said before, I don't mind people using me, but it's to the point now where people try to use you up. I always figured Selfless acts will be counted when I reach those HEAVENLY GATES, so I didn't do things to get wo/man appreciation. The thought of being Selfish just seemed to turn me off immediately. But these days, one has to learn to put Self first, because it looks like no one else will.

I am not sure what type of person you are. My hopes is that you have balance; you aren't too Selfish or too Selfless. You know balance is important in situations like this. If one aims to live a peaceful and prosperous life it must consist of numerous Selfless acts and a few Selfish acts here and there. But you have to know when enough is enough. Don't give too much of yourSelf to anyone or anything. You just may never ever be able to get it back. Thus, it's important to know when to be Selfless and when to be Selfish. I am no expert, I am learning the difference more day by day.

All By My---Self

0

As mentioned previously, I have to address this issue of being Alone. So many people settle for less than they deserve, just so they can say they have somebody. Regardless of the fact that somebody they have, has more than one somebody to call their own. I just don't get! People fear being Alone. There are so many benefits to being By YourSelf. If only for clarity purposes, sometimes I really enjoy being All By Myself.

Unless you have a twin, you were born into this world alone, and most likely you will leave here the same way. Self is who you are and the one person, that will never leave you. Dependency on others will most certainly cause major problems later on in your life, if not at this very moment. As I've said before, "people you choose to share your life with should compliment you, not complete you." If feel like you can't live without s/he, then you don't truly love Self. No one, but perhaps the MAN upstairs should come before Self. If you don't take care of Self, you won't be in any position to take care or love anyone else. Don't neglect Self for any one or anything, no matter what the circumstances may be. People have free will to do what they choose in this life, and oftentimes that means they are going to do what makes themSelves happy. So should you! Don't sacrifice you happyness and joy for anyone. Trust they ain't worth it.

Why would you want to live your life in the shadow of someone else? Or as J-Hud says, "In someone else's spotlight." You have to learn to appreciate Self/alone time. With everything that is going on in the world at-large, you should be ecstatic to have a moment or two where you don't have to do anything else for anyone, but yourSelf. I spend a lot of time All By Myself. Strictly by choice and not by force. Mainly because it's part of my transition in life. The other reason I am All By Myself, is because until I learn to holistically love, support, encourage and make time for Myself, I wouldn't dare add someone else to the equation. No one deserves 1/3rd of me. Self time gives you time to Self-reflect which means you can look at yourSelf and what you have been through or are going through in this life. If too much drama or negativity is present, then you need to follow in my footsteps; just let go, and enjoy some ME time--- All By YourSelf.

It's Just February 14th

0

Today, millions of people around the world, will be exchanging gifts, hugs, candy, and "I Love Yous" to the person that matters the most to them ---at the moment. But, I ask, "how many people really know what valentine's day, or February 14th as I call it, really means?" The origin of February 14th has nothing to do with appreciating each other with materialistic crap. Actually, Saint Valentine was murdered on or around February 14th AD 269/263. He was murdered because even though it was against the law of the land at the time, he would marry Christian couples. Know your history. February 14th is about St. Valentine, not you or your loved one or ones for some of you.

February 14th or valentine's day as you people refer to it, has nothing to do with you going out to Wally World, Target, or Jared, if you balling, and buying something for the one you love, or the one you think loves you. What grinds my gears is trifling people use this day as a day to celebrate all of those who they cheat on, beat on, and continue to claim they love only when it's convenient. But hey, it ain't their fault. Y'all allow it! And yes, I said y'all. Because some of you reading this right now, know dang well your other significant isn't worth the energy, time, or affection you waste on them. But, the things people will do just to say they have someone is amazing. SMHD--Afraid to be alone. ( I'll touch on this later)

I am not advocating against celebrating the one you love, if that person truly loves you and deserves your reciprocated love. But, I am against forced holidays. I believe you should demonstrate your love and affection daily, not just on February 14th, your anniversary, or birthdays if your remember them. Give and share love constantly. February 14th is worst than CHRISTmas now; it's all about the gifts and material things.

To all those who mean something to me, don't take offense, but you WON'T be getting a happy valentine's day from me or any sort of gift. I might send you a Happy February 14th, but I seriously doubt it. I love and appreciate all of you dearly. I will continue to celebrate you and your accomplishments every single day. And not just because everyone else is doing it. Why be one in a million, when you can be one out of a million. Enjoy your day!

Limitations

0

No one puts Limitations on us, but us. People can say all day that we can't do something, but it only becomes a reality when we actually believe what they say to be our truth, and we stop trying. Limitations aren't like dead-ends; they are more like detours. Although one route may be shut down, there is still another available route for you to take, it just may take you a little longer or inconvenience you a bit to get there. Life without Limitations to me is truly living. Today, I encourage all of you to remove those unseen and unforeseen Limitations and start living your life to the fullest.

Others may enjoy living their life with Limitations, because they like playing it safe. If you never try to do certain things, no one can ever say you failed at them. Interesting huh? But the thing about it is, you internally never know if you could have succeeded, which nine times out of ten, you probably would have. Limitations are not boundaries. Boundaries let us know what space we should and should not operate in or to what capacity we may go before its time to tap out. Limitations on the other hand, are set mentally, because at some point we just get comfortable with our current life and environment. Away with Limitations! Why not try a little of everything. I mean you only life once. If you aren't going to truly live this life without Limitations, then you might as well sit down and wait for your time to end. Don't let the journey of life pass you by. Free yourself: mind, body and soul of Limitations and go out and take charge of your life---Immediately.

The Top

0

On your marks, get set, ready,----go! Now that the race has begun, we all have to stay in our assigned lanes. We have left the starting line and now we are engaged in this race to The Top. Competition is indeed healthy, but sometimes the thrill of being the first one to The Top can bring the worst out of all of us. Based on the way we were reared as children, our Tops may vary drastically.

The Top to some people is exactly where they are right now. The family structure, job, spouse, and children they have is all they could have ever asked for. Others have yet to reach The Top they set for themselves. They are building a life for themselves that will ultimately prepare them for a family, a career, and whatever else they aspire to have or set out to accomplish in this life. The Top for some of us is very similar, but we all may have different paths to reach it.

In my little over three decades on this earth, I have yet to reach The Top. I am sure others think I have reached The Top, but I haven't even began my journey good yet. I mean, I have made some strides to The Top, but I have yet to really start my passage to The Top. No matter where you are in this life, remember to keep your eyes on your prize. Please don't be over The Top--ridiculous is not the answer. The Top you seek should be specific to your own goals and aspirations. Don't let anyone set your Top for you. As I say when parting from those who mean the most to me,"I may not see you on tomorrow, or everyday, but I most certainly plan to see you again, at The Top."

Swagger

0

I was just listening recently to a mix-tape by Nicki Minaj called, "Working My Swagger." Although, she tends to work her A$$ets, they are indeed a part of her Swagger. Nicki, Kanye, my boy Diddy, and a few others have Swagger that is on a trillion. I appreciate and respect their Swagger. My Swagger currently sits at about a cool mill. Today, everywhere you look, people are talking about this thing called, Swagger. Most recently, Old Spice, one of the most non-minority line of products, has launched these new series of commercials featuring A Black Old Spice guy. I am sure you all have seen them. The line he is promoting is called, "Swagger." There is something so unique about Swagger, also known as Swag.

Swagger is something that I believe can't be taught, but it can be developed over time. It is one of those characteristics about a person that causes their physical attributes to take a back seat. Take Rick Ross for instance. Ross can probably have any woman he wants because his Swagger is out of this world. Jay-Z married Beyonce. Do you think that was by accident?Absolutely not, Jay has crazy Swagger. The thing about Swagger is it is kind of like personality, either you have it or you don't. But, you can definitely develop a Swag of your own. You can attempt to Swag surf all day long, but if you truly don't possess Swagger, than you are just another person doing a new era dance move.

I think each of you should take a moment to give yourself a Swagger Check. If your Swagger isn't up to par, then your experiences, associations, and relationships definitely aren't where they should be. If you aren't sure where your Swag stands, people like me, keep a Swag meter on deck, so I will be glad to help you out. While we may never have Swag like celebrities due to their exposure and money, you can surely have Swagger like yourself. A Swag all of your own. No one should define your Swagger, it's yours. Start working your Swagger today and watch your life change for the better immediately.

Far Away From Here

0

Sometimes it is absolutely necessary to take time to yourself. In the hustle and bustle of life, you need to factor into your daily schedule some me time. Time where you aren't obligated to do anything for the kids, your spouse, your family or anyone else. This is time for you to sit back, relax, and imagine yourself being Far Away From Here.

Having the ability to be in one place but let your imagination take you Far Away From Here takes practice. There are so many things that can negatively impact your day that you can't control such as, lying, trifling, and all around messy people, a boss or a significant other who doesn't seem to appreciate anything you do, and/or people who can't drive undistracted, texting and talking on the phone at the same time. None of the afore you can really do anything about, but in these moments when you feel your temperature rising and your frustration building, take a moment to close your eyes and travel mentally, Far Away From Here.

There is beauty in having the ability to control your own emotions. When people realize that nothing they try to do or think about doing can steal your joy, they tend to leave you alone and find someone else to bother. I have mastered the practice of being in the midst of chaos and dysfunction, but only my body is there, because my mind is most certainly Far Away From Here. You have to have a vivid imagination. You really should try it. You and I have too much to live for to allow stress to kill us. I journey physically and mentally often to a place where everybody knows my name and I am always VIP. Somewhere where there is so much peace, happiness, and joy, somewhere Far Far Far Away From Here.

The Recluse A.K.A. The Home Body

0

While most people seem to enjoy spending their available nights and weekends at the mall, the movies, visiting friends and/or dancing the night away in lounges and clubs, I prefer to be a Recluse. Not to be mistaken for the dangerous spider that will kill you. Just The Home Body that will chill you. A Recluse is defined as a person who lives a solitary life and tends to avoid other people. In lamens terms, A Recluse is otherwise known as A Home Body.

Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking those of you who live among the night. Back in the day, I use to get my party on with the best of them. I guess I kind of overdid it when I was younger. As as adult, I think it is imperative that I slow it down. These days I am often referred to as The Recluse A.K.A. The Home Body. But, truth be told, I enjoy staying at the crib. I have all the sources of entertainment I need: Movies, Music, & More. I am often teased and picked on regarding the fact that I am a Recluse but I am perfectly fine with that. Staying home, means I am not out in the streets. These days, there is so much going on in the streets it makes one want to stay home.

I am The Recluse, that is Mr. Recluse to you. I am The Home Body, that is Mr. Home Body to you. I am perfectly fine with both of those titles and the many other things people call me. In the words of Rocko, "you just do you, and imma do me..." People, don't be made to feel bad because you like to stay home. Those of you who go out, don't be made to feel bad because you go out. As long as you take care of ALL your responsibilities, maintain balance and conduct yourselves in a responsible manner, that is all that truly matters. Whatever it is that you do, just be safe and have big fun doing it.

Regards,

The ReCluse

There Is No Place Like Home 2

0

I personally am what you call a Nomad. Sort of like a rolling stone. Wherever I lay my do-rag is my home. (I don't really wear hats) Anyway, but that still doesn't mean I dont realize the importance of having a place to call Home. Like Dorothy said on the Wizard of Oz, "There Is No Place Like Home."

The saying goes, "Home is where the heart is." While I agree to some extent, I also believe your heart can be in several places. I call a number of places Home, especially those cities that I have lived in and the people there have shown me great love. I really appreciate people like that. For some strange reason lately, I have encountered people who haven't been Home in a long time, literally. It's the weirdest thing ever. I mean they say stuff like, "well I grew up there, thus I don't want/need to return." Or, "my family and I don't really get along, so I stay to myself out here and do my own things." WHATTTTT?!!!! Mayne, you people are bonkers. There Is No Place Like Home. Especially, if you have loved ones, friends, and family there. You only get one life, and it would be a shame to not share your talents, gifts, blessings, and lessons learned with those who really need it.

I think all of you shouldn't neglect Home and be glad you have one. Some people don't have a Home and no matter how hard they try they will never have a place to call Home. As I always say, "Sometimes we don't appreciate things, until they are gone." Let this stand as a brief reminder, There Is No Place Like Home. Thank your lucky stars you have somewhere to return to, because some people never leave, thus they never have a place to return to.

P.U.S.H.

0

Its sad that I have to say this, but in my attempt to share with you I am in no way proselytizing or trying to PUSH my beliefs off on you by any means. I simply write to let you know something that works for me in hopes that it will ultimately work for you as well. I remember as a kid sitting in Church and I use to hear my Pastor and her Prayer Warriors saying, "when all else fells, P.U.S.H. Due to my adolescent understanding, I really thought they literally meant PUSH. As in using force to move something from one place to another. But as I got a little older and start paying more attention in Church, I gained a newly developed understanding of the term P.U.S.H, better known as PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS.

I am in no way, shape, form or fashion the most religious person on earth. While I am a proud Christian brother, I don't claim any religious affiliation. But, I do believe in the power of Prayer. P.U.S.H. has done more for me in times of crisis, depression, and what seemed to be unbearable pain than any other antidote. When it seemed like I had explored all my options and my back was against the wall, I simply continued to P.U.S.H. Now at some point, P.U.S.H.ing that must join this thing called FAITH, because there is no need for you to Pray if you don't believe or have FAITH that your circumstances can truly be changed. You can Pray all day, but if you are Praying for the sake of no other options, then you might just be wasting your time. You might want to add a little FAITH to that P.U.S.H.

In this life, there are a number of things we can control and those things we can't. One of the gifts that come with being in America and other countries is that we are free to Worship, Pray, and Believe as we see fit. In other countries, not so much. I don't know what you are going through today or what you went through yesterday, but I write to encourage you to P.U.S.H. Not tomorrow, Not a few minutes from now, but began to P.U.S.H. right now. See what happens. Don't take my word for it that it works, just try it. Worst case, nothing will happen and then you can continue whatever other regimen you utilize when you are going through things in your life.

Remember when all else fells and it seems like there is nothing else to do, Don't Run, Don't Pull, Don't Jump, Don't Fret, Don't Hide, Don't Quit--Just P.U.S.H!!!

The Future Is Now 2

0

Greetings All:

First and foremost, Happy Sunday! I wanted to take a moment today to write each of you and tell you something. Nope, it's no big secret, but it is indeed necessary. I want you all to know that The Future Is Now. Not tomorrow, not yesterday, not last week, but right Now. I say that to say, that it is time out for sitting around doing a whole bunch of nothing. You have too much to live for to be moping about things you can not change or wondering what would've happened if you would've said no that time(s) you said yes. You have to live with the decisions you have made and you must realize that while yesterday was important, The Future Is Now.

When I say The Future Is Now, I mean right at this very moment. Most people are sitting around waiting on other people to change their world instead of enacting change themselves. I am telling you all that you no longer have to wait. Nothing is holding you back but your unwillingness to do something about your present situations/circumstances. You have no reason to wait any further, The Future Is Now. Put away your past, grab a hold of your present and lunge towards your Future. Not any other time, but RIGHT NOW. The Future Is Now.

Use Me Up

0

The line in one of my favorite songs says , "Oh, you just keep on Using Me, until you Use Me Up." Now that I have gotten a little older and a little more mature, I have gained a better understanding of what it is to be Used. I never really had a problem with it because I was doing what I felt best, but more and more these days I realize that people tend to Use Me, until they Use Me Up. I mean they Use Me for the simplest things that they could get from other people, but for some reason they choose to Use Me Up. While, I don't have a problem with people Using Me, it is a major issue they try to Use Me Up. I think it's important to indeed recognize when people are capable of Using You and Using You Up.

There are several reasons you need to recognize people who are Users. If you don't have the ability to know when someone has every intention of Using You, you may find yourself investing unnecessary time, emotions, and feelings into those persons who don't deserve it at all. See, people can only Use You if you allow them to. Some of us simple aren't strong enough to recover from being Used. I use to be so vulnerable to Users. It was like I had a Use Me Up sign posted on my forehead. But as I kept on living, I have learned that just because I want to help people and allow them to Use Me, doesn't mean I should let them Use Me Up.

I think as nurturers, some of us will always be in the position where people will try to Use Us. But that in no way means you should allow people to continue Using You. At some point in this life, we have to say, "enough is enough." This is one of the most difficult tasks I have ever had to endure and I am still not cured yet. Still today, I allow people to Use Me, but I am working to define when it should stop. I mean, I can't help it, people will most definitely Use Me and you too, but we cannot continue to allow them to Use Us until they Use Us Up. If so, we won't have a thing left to offer this world or anyone who truly needs us.

Kids

1

Terrible parents get on my nerves! I mean, I have no idea what some people are thinking. I don't think parents understand the Blessings that Kids are. I mean it is underrated the role that Kids plays in one's life until the fact that one doesn't have Kids any more or one isn't able to produce Kids of their own. Some people use Kids in relationships in an effort to try to make him/her stay, which by the way doesn't work. If s/he wasn't ish before you had a Kid for her/him, s/he ain't gone be ish once the Kid gets here. Kids are not a control mechanism for you all to use to try to make yourself happy, but the are a gift to this world and it is time some of you worthless flesh of a parent start to realize this.

There are tons of people in this life, who no matter what they do, adoption is the only option for them. Some of you have Kids and you could care less. The only time some people really give their Kids attention is on birthdays, holidays, or when they discover their Kids have a talent that they can exploit to make themselves money (e.g., football, singing, acting, pageants). You should appreciate, love and be as attentive to your Kids as much as possible. Trust, those things you don't give your Kids, they will most certainly find in the arms and beds of someone else. Kids are not just dependents on your taxes to be sold to the highest bidder, or your little house servants. Its drives me nuts to see people sit around all day on their lazy a$$ and have their Kids waiting on them hand and foot. Somebody should punch you in the face! Your Kids love you, thus they do things to demonstrate that, at least you could return the favor.

Take your Kids places with you. And not just to your parents' house to drop them off, because you want to hit the club tonight. They need to be Kids. Take them to the library to read, to the park to play, on vacations so they can experience the world at-large. The experiences they endure as a Kid will effect the rest of their precious lives. Now, I know some of your Kids are extremely active, I don't believe in calling Kids bad, but they are not the spawn of the devil. They came from your body. The GOOD BOOK says "you reap what you sow." Thus, the things you did as a Kid or you do to your Kids will come back on you. Treat your Kids like the little prince/ss they are. Truth be told, they didn't make reservations to be hear on earth, you decided to bring them here, so you owe it to them to do all you can to take care of them and provide them with the best life possible.

KIDS ROCK!!!

Happyness Is A Privilege

0

Okie dokie! Now this is my type of party (dances back and forth in his office chair). I am, for once in a long time, Happy on today. For a several of reasons. First and foremost, at 4a this morning I became one of the true pioneers of the cell phone industry. Okay, that is a bit exaggerated, but I did order my I-Phone 4 from Verizon. Let the enjoyment begin. Look out ATT, the massive switch/exodus to the World's greatest cell phone provider (Verizon) shall now begin.

Additionally, I am Happy because I am glad that the MAN upstairs saw fit to breath the breathe of life into my flesh this morning. Now, I don't know if you all do it, but many people take life for granted. As I was watching CNN last night regarding the violence and chaos in Egypt, I was reminded that we as Americans take so many freedoms we have for granted. I am Happy that we can worship, pray, eat, live, love, and procreate as we deem necessary. While I know America has done a disservice to a number of people, more specifically people of color, we are all still allowed to do more things in our society then a number of other societies. And for that I am Happy.

Happyness people Is A Privilege. Happy is something that I am not very often, thus when I get the opportunity to share it, I do. I want each of you to take a moment to share in my moment of personal Happy Privilege and think about all those things that you have in your life that make you Happy. When it seems like nothing is going right on any given day or in your life, those same thoughts are what you are going to use to keep a smile on your face as you remind yourself that the Privilege to be Happy is on your own terms and conditions in your life and it is all yours and based solely on you. Don't let anyone steal your Happy!

Money, Money, Money....Money

0

People tend to believe that Money is the root of all evil. I beg to differ. I'm sure your not surprised. To me, Money is not the root of all evil, evil people are just evil. Money is just another level of influence. One of the things I have noticed is people spend their whole life chasing Money instead of fulfilling their dreams and aspirations. Money is not the end all be all. While it is important, it is not what makes or breaks you. Money doesn't by you happiness, just distractions to make you seem content temporarily.

Just last night I read an article about Puffy and Rick Ross, aka the Bugatti Boys, spending a Million dollars at a strip club. Oh yea, Pharelle from the Neptunes was a part of this coonery as well. I am so disappointed with Ross. I expect this behavior from Puffy, but not Diddy. Sound funny huh? I am so shocked how Money can change people, define people, and worse of all cause people to lie, cheat, kill, steal, and try to destroy their neighbors. Personally, I think you can never have enough Money anyway (spoken like a true broke person), but you will definitely have enough problems with or without Money.

I don't really care whether I have a dollar to my name or a million. Personally, the only reason I work to earn the Money I do is to support those who supported me. It is my hopes that I will be able to use my intelligence, influence, and education to earn more Money, so I can truly impact the world at-large. Most rich people, no matter how much Money they have, will always be poor. Wealthy people have learned to use their Money to change lives. If you only in it for the Money, then you might as well sale your soul, because chasing Money will bring out the devil in you yet.

Haters

0

I have to take a moment today to acknowledge those of you who frequently get overlooked, Haters. Haters don't get the accolades they deserve. Today, I wanted to take a moment to give a special shout-out to all the Haters out there. Haters are going to Hate; it's their job. Most of them do it very well too. Haters, just like people, make the world go 'round. I absolutely love and I am in love with my Haters. They keep me on my toes. In the words of Katt Williams, "I am trying to figure out how to double the number of Haters I have by the summer. Haters mean an awful lot to me. If it wasn't for the Haters, how would we know how flawless we really are.

My G-Ma use to tell me, "Baby, if people aren't Hating on you, that means you aren't doing anything." I am always reminded of that when it seems like people are Hating on me at unbelievable levels. Oh, how I love you Haters! You mean the world to me and I am so excited that of all the people in this world, you choose/chose to Hate on little ol' me. I want you all to know that you are the best. I wouldn't be the man I am today without you. You have guided me so effortlessly past each of you in terms of my professional and personal life and for that I really appreciate you.

I think it would behoove of each of you to take a moment to acknowledge each special Hater you have in your life. You need to understand the true role of Haters in your life. Stop complaining about their actions or even their words, they are just doing their job, Hating. Haters have been around since the days of the Garden of Eden, ask the serpent. Haters have been given the task to Hate and I for one am so glad some of them do their job so well. I think I love Haters more than money. And LORD knows, I love that guap!
