Former Bad Boy Rapper Loon Busted In Belgium On Heroin Charges

Rap news website HiphopDX.com is reporting that Chauncey Hawkins, aka rapper “Loon”,  has been busted in Belgium on a heroin charge he originally caught while in North Carolina.

HipHopDX reports:

“The Harlem, New York emcee was reportedly arrested while trying to enter the European country after he had been indicted in May of this year for distributing heroin. The charges stem from over three years ago, in North Carolina.”

The former rapper on Bad Boy Records and long time associate of Sean “Diddy” Combs had allegedly left rap music, and began living conservative Muslim lifestyle in the past few years.

Loon, renamed himself Amir Junaid Muhadith after his conversion.  Just a few years ago, Loon was featured on a popular Islamic internet TV series called The Deen Show claiming to be focused on righteous living.

The website www.DdotOmen.com posted a copy of the indictment papers online. According to the site he was seeking asylum in Algeria, but had been spotted in Belgium and taken into custody. Loon will reportedly be extradited to the United States for trial. For the full story visit www.hiphopdx.com .

Katt Williams was questioned by police at a Best Buy in Coleraine, Ohio after receiving calls about a female member of Katt Williams entourage who store security believed was shoplifting.

After an investigation, police found that Williams’ companion was only putting her own property in her purse, but still charged her with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

TMZ reports:

Cops say officers conducted a brief investigation — which proved the accusations were unfounded and the woman was merely “putting her own property into her purse.”

But during the questioning, cops say they found “a small amount of marijuana when she permitted them to look in her purse” — so she was cited for misdemeanor pot possession.
