Breaking News: Don Cornelius Dead At 75 From Suicide; Speechless!!!

Don Cornelious, the creator of Soul Train, was found dead in his California home of an apparent suicide, TMZ reports.

TMZ has more:

We’re told cops discovered the body at around 4 AM PT.  Law enforcement sources tell us … Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted.

We’re told Cornelius was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“Soul Train” changed the landscape of television when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006.

Officials have notified Don’s family.

Cornelius was 75.

This week, Toni Braxton was taken to the hospital for a lupus flare-up, according to TMZ.

Braxton told TMZ:

I wanted to say thanks to all my fans for their support, as I have been experiencing some flare-ups with my Lupus, which has me in the hospital for a few days. I wanted to clear the record before rumors started, and will totally be fine as I’m blessed to having an amazing family for support.

The Mayo Clinic defines lupus as a chronic inflammatory disease that attacks healthy tissue.  Braxton publicly announced that she had the disease two years ago as she received a Women In Achievement Award from Lupus LA.
