DEFINITION: 1) Sullen; gloomy. 2) Severe; stern. 3) Scot. (Of land) Barren; rocky, infertile, or otherwise difficult or impossible to cultivate.

SENTENCE: Oftentimes, my dour criticism doesn't seem constructive, but I promise it is.
