If It Ain't Broke...

I am sure all of you have heard the old adage, "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It." Now I can't argue with that because there is some fact in that statement. If things Ain't Broke, then there is actually nothing to Fix. However, I view, "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It," slightly different. When you hear that statement, you are led to believe that only Broken things need to be Fixed. While that may be the case, that doesn't mean they Don't Need Maintenance.

The whole idea of Maintenance is to properly Maintain that which is of value to you. Rather it be your relationships, your car, your career, your faith, your body, etc. all these things may never Break. But they sure need a little Maintenance from time to time. If you can understand this simple concept, you may save yourself a ton of heartache, stress and most importantly, money. Nothing will last forever. But, if you take care of things, treat them right and keep things up to par, then you have made your life so much easier to live. Just remember, "If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It," but "Don't Forget to schedule some Maintenance to make sure they stay UnBroken."
