Shock Value: Entry 237 "Actions Speak Louder"

0

Some people talk entirely too much about themselves. So much so, that it annoys you to be in their presence. Either they like to hear themselves talk, or they are operating under the assumption that you enjoy listening to them. I can't tell you a better way to deal with these people other than to inform them that you don't enjoy them raping your eardrums. No means no! I figured out years ago, that it's not what you say, but what you do that matters. You can talk that talk all day, but if you can't walk the walk, them you are nothing. Here is a note to all of you, just in case you didn't know: "Actions Speak Louder" than anything you could ever imagine.

"Actions Speak Louder" than words in any situation in this life. There is one thing for you to tell someone you Love them every day, but it is another to show them. By the way, Love is an "Action" word anyway. Once again, saying you Love someone is empty, but demonstrating your Love through your "Actions Speak Louder." Let's take Work for instance. There is one thing for you to tell everybody and their mother how much or how hard you Work. You can go on and on about the Work you do and how little you get compensated for that Work. But once again, no one knows the Work you do, or claim to be doing if they don't see it. Instead of talking about Work, do Work. Put that talk into "Action" by actually doing some Work. "Actions Speak Louder" than anything you can say. Another example is Faith. Now some of you know, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. " (Hebrews 11:1) I hear so many people talk about having Faith. I mean they go to church every Sunday and Bible Study every Tuesday or Wednesday, but before they can get out the parking lot they are worrying about this and that. That is a major contradiction to that Faith you claim to have. The Good Book says, "Faith without work is dead." (James 2:26) This means if you have Faith, you can't just say you do, you have to step out on that Faith and do something. Put that Faith into some sort of "Action." That is the difference between saying you have something and believing you actually have it---taking "Action." Again, I say, "Actions Speaker Louder."

I am not trying to be condescending with my writing today, but I don't want to assume that people know what it means when someone says, "Actions Speaker Louder." If so many people understood this terminology, there would be more Love, Peace, and Happiness in the world at large, at home, and in our neighborhoods. So many people enjoy talking about this and that, but when it is time to put the shovel in the dirt or lay the pavement on the road they are no where to be found. Now, don't get me wrong, I am no fan of manual labor myself, but I understand the perception that one may have if I am always talking about doing and they never see me doing.

The simple message today is: "If you Love someone, show them." "If you know you are a hard Worker, don't just spend countless mouth minutes talking about the Work you do. Take a minute to partake in some Work without commentary. Just Work! " "If you have Faith, demonstrate it by believing in GOD, and moving on with your assignment knowing it will work out in your favor in the end."

~I am no genius. This is just my thoughts put into "Action" as I attempt to "Speak" to you "Louder" than those who say these things behind your back, but won't say them to your face--Cowards.
