Shock Value: Entry 238 "Potential"

0

"Potential" may be defined in various ways. As a verb, "potential" means, capable of being or becoming. As a noun, "potential" means, a latent excellence or ability that may or may not be developed (Dictionary, 2010). While I agree with both definitions, I believe something is missing in them---you.

To me, "potential" means you are capable of being or becoming. "Potential" means a latent excellence or ability that you may or may not have developed. I personally believe that all of you have the "potential" to do anything you put your mind to. You are very well capable of being or becoming anything you put your mind to. Even if you aren't where you believe you should be or you aren't sure where you should be, you have the "potential" to find that space and place where you belong.

Some will tell you this about you and that about you. But, it's not what people say to you or about you, it's what you believe. You most certainly have all the "potential" you need right now to do anything you would like. If you feel you lack "potential" to do something, you are grossly mistaken. The "potential" is there. You were born with it; sometimes you may have to sift through a few things to find it. "Potential" is inside all of us. If you don't use it, you may lose it. From henceforth, don't doubt you or let anyone else's doubts about you negatively affect you. You surely have the "potential" to be the best at what you do. Now, you just have to start believing it and doing something with it before it's too late.
