You know, I am not a person who is big on holidays at all. As a matter of fact, I don't even celebrate most holidays because the TRUE meaning them has been lost. However, for some reason, this CHRISTmas 2010 season "I Can Feel It." Perhaps, it due to the changes in my life, or the absence of immediately family, but whatever it is "I Can Feel It." I am not sure if its excitement, anxiousness, joy, and/or happiness, but "I Can Feel It." All the store parking lots are filled with the vehicles of tons of shoppers and the check-out lines are backed all the way up. Fortunate for some, they have the ability to still shop and get gifts this CHRISTmas, even thought the country is still in a recession and people are losing jobs left and right. Unfortunately, for people like me, who only need one or two personal items, I have to wait behind you all with your 19 lay-a-way items, 15 price checks, and 11 things you have the cashier ring up, but then you decide at pay time, you no longer want them. Arrrggg!!! Bah Humbug!!! I hope that doesn't make me a Scrooge.
This year, in most unusual fashion, "I Can Feel It." Not to sure what "It" is at this point, but "I Can Feel It." I genuinely hope "It" isn't just gas. Perhaps, for once, I will actually enjoy CHRISTmas. In years past, I just couldn't get into it. People have forgotten the real reason for the season. Now, its all about who can give the best gifts and such. Many forget that we are suppose to be celebrating the birth of our LORD and SAVIOUR--JESUS The CHRIST. Whether or not you agree he was born on CHRISTmas, it's still HIS day. That is why we assemble ourselves on December 25, and to eat of course. Can't forget the chitterlings---Yuck!
I am not sure what your plans are this 2010 holiday season, but "I Have A Feeling" this one is going to be one to remember. In the midst of all your shopping, gift wrapping, etc., please be reminded that some people won't get a chance to experience CHRISTmas and all the joys it brings. So, if you have it in your power, do the right thing, and donate to your local Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, or find a family somewhere in your community, that you bring the CHRISTmas experience to. "I Can Feel It" but I know that it takes all of us working together to make sure this is a wonderful and eventful season of praise, worship, loving, giving, and last but not least, honoring HE who gave it all, so you and I could be here--JESUS.
P.S. THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THAT NAME!!!
"Can You Feel That?!"
