Shock Value: Entry 245 "Walls"

"Walls" are absolutely necessary. "Walls" are an important part of any structure. "Walls" lend support to any foundation of a building. "Walls" separate rooms and they give us our own personal space. But the mental "Walls" each of us have can be detrimental to our life or our livelihood.

"Walls" are made for support. "Walls" are the relationship barrier between the floor and the ceiling. These types of "Walls" are of uber (look it up) importance. But our personal "Walls" and not the ones you can see, hinder us from building functional relationships and sometimes put barriers between what we don't think we need and what we actually need. I understand each of us have our own justification as to why we put up "Walls." Most of us have been hurt, taken advantaged of, abused, misused, or talked about until we can barely face the morning sun. But, we have to be careful about the "Walls" we build around us. Sometimes these "Walls" can box us in and keep out what we truly deserve. In some instances, these "Walls" do keep away the negativity, hatred, hurt, and discourse that life brings our way, but that doesn't mean we have to keep these "Walls" up surrounding us at all times.

I don't want to sit here for once and make it seem like I understand your situation, life, circumstance or dispositions, but one thing I do know is sometimes our "Walls" make it impossible for those who really care for us to reach out to us. Sometimes we build these "Walls" so high, so strong, and so impenetrable, that people who really want to be there for us, get to know us, and grow old with us are forced to walk away, because they can't scale our "Wall," break down our "Wall," or they just can't simply understand why we have a "Wall" up in the first place. It is absolutely necessary for you to protect yourself. I mean everyone in this life doesn't have your best interest in mind. But some do. The last thing you want to happen is for your soul mate or Mr/Ms Destiny to walk away because you are so buried behind your "Wall" that they can't hug you through it, walk you through it, love you through it, or worst of all, get you to come out from behind it.

In essence, that's why GOD made contractors. You stick to your trade or area of expertise and allow them to do the "Wall" building. Tear down those "Walls" today!
