Shock Value: Entry 97 "There Is Nothing Between You & Your Future, But Space & Opportunity"

Happy Happy Happy Tuesday Yall! I know most of you wouldn't be happy about Tuesday, but why not? It one day down from the week, three days to-go, not including today.

Today's Topic: There is nothing between you & your future,

but space and opportunity.

So I was having a conversation with a few of my associates just recently regarding goals. Frequently, I pose a question to people I know, regardless of there age. I ask them, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" At first it use to puzzle them, now they usually laugh. Sometimes I get a, "boy I'm grown," others think its cute and attempt to answer. Overall, this usually leads into a deeper conversation. A question like that makes you self-reflect and ask yourself whether or not you've reached that place you planned on by this point in your life. If you haven't, thats okay. You can still get there.

One would be surprised how many times people tell me that they wanted to do this, that or the other, but this, that and the other happened. Now I understand that there are some things in this life you can't control, but there are some things that you can avoid. I guess today's message is for those of you who won't let obstacles or life's dead-ends veer you off your path to where you want to be. Anyone of us can come up with a myriad of reasons why we didn't do this or didn't do that, but excuses will handicap you. No matter what your circumstances are, there is still a chance for you to be who you want to be in this life. Yeah, I know you didn't plan to have kids, be divorced, or have to work to take care of your whole family, but you have to do whatever it takes to sign your name into a page of history.

Take a moment. Look to the left, now look to the right, now look behind you, up, down, now look in front of you. Do you recognize what that is you see? It called space, which can lead to many opportunities. As long as you believe and step out on faith, you can make it in this life. There is nothing between you and your future, but space and opportunity. All of us, your family, friends, spouse, and associates are waiting on you to take the first step. We need you too. We want you too. Close the space between you and your future----Move, Do Something. Stop standing there. If you have life, you have time---today's the day. Don't let the gap between you and your future grow wider. Play it close like butter play toast. All you need is you. If you believe it, you can achieve it. Lets Get It!
