Embrace It, You're Getting Older

0

The coming of age seems tragic for some people. They see one piece of grey in their hair and for some reason they began to dye their whole head just to get rid of it. Or they look in the mirror and see one forehead wrinkle, so now its time to spend hundreds of dollars on creams or make-up to try to hid, that one wrinkle. People get over it! Embrace It, You're Getting Older.

I don't know why everyone is so anxious to stay young forever. Aging is the great part of life. If everyone was young then the world would be even more chaotic then it already is. Just because You're Getting Older doesn't mean you have to force yourself into those jeans you could wear in high school or into your old letterman jacket from 12 grade. Being able to wear those items, don't make you look younger. They actually make you look stupid. Contrary to popular opinion, clothes, music, and/or slang doesn't make you look younger. Just Embrace It, You're Getting Older.

I have always been a fan of the school of thought that one gets better with age. I really believe that. You become more wise through the many lessons, trials and tribulations you go through in this life. None of which make you old; they just make you more experienced You must learn to age with grace, not ignorance. I can't stand to see a guy in his 40's sagging or a woman in her 40's in a pair of daisy dukes. Ma'am/Sir, you look like a h.a.m. (hot a$$ mess.) They make those clothes in every size, but you have to know that you have outgrown that fad. I write to all of you non- spring chickens out there to say, "If you are are Getting Older, Just Embrace It." That just means you are moving closer and closer to your destiny and that great "REWARD IN THE SKY".
