Grab An Umbrella

As most of you get ready to enjoy your holiday weekend, many of us down here in the Gulf Coast are preparing for yet another tropical storm. I am not going to spend time complaining about hurricanes, tropical storms and the weather. Especially given that many people in the northeast have lost everything they worked their entire life for with Irene. But, I have to do my part and inform all of you located in the gulf and surrounding areas to Grab An Umbrella.

Grab An Umbrella? Yes. The next few days are going to be full of heavy rain and winds. Whether we get the projected 20 inches of rain or not, we still may get more than enough. We were all reminded by watching the issues in places like Patterson in New Jersey and Vermont that flooding, due to heavy rainfall, can do just as much damage as any storm. I encourage all of you to not only Grab An Umbrella, but visit your local grocery store and pick up a few snacks and supplies. Just in case the rain and wind keeps us in a little longer than expected. It is my hopes that this storm won't be as bad as projected, but who knows. Stay dry, be safe and please don't try to be a hero. Keep your eyes on the weather. No matter what the outcome, be proactive, Grab An Umbrella and perhaps a Bible too.
