~Tonight, at 7pm ET President Barack Obama will address congress and the nation. He is scheduled to roll out his new Job's Plan that some say will make or break his re-election bid. No matter what party you represent, the entire nation needs an employment fix.

~Tonight also marks the beginning of the 2011 National Football Season. The 2011 NFL champions, The Green Bay Packers will take on the 2010 NFC champions, the New Orleans Saints. I really don't have a dog in this fight, but I am glad there is a season this year. Go EAGLES!!!

~The incomparable and absolutely hilarious, Eddie Murphy is slated to host the Oscars this year. This one I might have to watch this one. Although I can tell you now, people of color will be visibly absent from the winner's circle.

~Hip Hop Artist, Host and Actor Mos Def is officially retiring that name and shall now be known as Yasiin. Mos Def is a strong brand, I hope Yasiin keeps that trend up.

~According to numerous media outlets, Basketball Wives star, Evelyn "She Curse Way Too Much" Lozada is quitting the show over a media published article posted by a network affiliate of the show that purported she has been cheating on her current beau/boo, Chad Ochocino, with his not so famous anymore ex side- kick, Terrell Owens. To be honest, I hate this show and everything it stands for, but both T.O. and Ocho are my boys. So I hope it works out for the best.

~To date, we have Tropical Stom Maria churning along cross the Atlantic, while a new Tropical Storm Nate is speeding up off the Mexican coast. I don't know about you all, but what we don't need is another tropical storm, hurricane or tornado. Mother nature, please let us have peace. Hey, one can always hope.

~This week the CEO of Yahoo, Carol Bartz was fired via a phone call and rapper Snoop Dogg expressed interest in her old post. While this was occurring, FaceBook's revenue has more than doubled to 1.6 billion dollars. To this I will say, Snoop, minus the gunja, "you can do it!" As it relates to FaceBook, I am not a user, nor I am a fan. But one cannot deny the power of this social networking giant. However, FaceBook is addictive and kids are wasting away their lives building farms and doing the dumbest things to be liked. Instead putting their own intellectual property together and created the next best invention that will make them millions and more.


~Last but not least. Lil Wayne has been nominated eighteen, yes 18 times for this year's Hip Hop Awards. All I am going to say is, "HIP HOP ISN'T DEAD, BUT RAPPERS ARE KILLING IT!!!"
