I don't know if you all appreciate
my greetings, but I'm going
to continue to do so anyway.
Happy Tuesday!
Today's Topic: Persistence
Calvin Coolidge once wrote, "Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
To be persistent means never giving up no matter what type of opposition you may face in this life. There will always be obstacles, challenges, detours, and other things that try to hinder you from reaching "your promise," but you have to, "keep on keeping on." No matter how tall, short, fast, or slow you are persistence is something that must be a part of your life. If one has no will to move forward even when it seems so appropriate/comfortable to stop, you will be mediocre for the rest of your life. Perhaps, you aren't disturbed by mediocrity---but I am. You must always remain persistent in all you do. As the old adage goes, "if at first you don't succeed, you pay someone else to do it; lol. It's actually, "you try and try again.
As I always say, "don't give up and don't give in." There are million reasons you should quit, but a million and one why you should not. Persistence can open closed doors and turn a no into a yes. Its the key to your own personal goal attainment. Remain optimistic in all you do and continue daily pushing yourself. Persistence will ultimately guide you to your final destination, wherever it may be.
