Shock Value: Entry 208 "The Quest For Love"

I think deep down inside of all of us there lies a need. A need that makes us all vulnerable. A need that humanizes us all. The need for "Love." While some have been fortunate to have very positive experiences with "Love," others of us have been unsuccessful. Thus, our "Quest For Love" continues.

Until recently, I didn't truly understand the many complexities that came with the four letter word, "Love." I have always been accustomed to hearing it from my "Loved" Ones, but the dynamic of having it said to me from someone outside the family bloodline is foreign to me. While I believe it is important to have La' Familia "Love," I believe it is even more important to find someone who "Loves" you and someone to share your "Love" with.

I write to encourage you, my sistahs, not to give up. No one said, "The Quest For Love" would be easy. Don't give up on us bruthas yet! Yes, I know De'Quan wasn't half the man you thought he was but he in no way represents all of us. Keep Hope Alive! Fellas, although we all know you won't admit it out-loud, I know Tyeshia was the one, and you know it too. But she decided to step out with another man. She is one lady among the majority, don't let your bad experience with her ruin it for your true soul mate. I know from my own personal experiences, "The Quest For Love" is indeed complicated, tough, and unpleasant. But, in the end, it will be all worth it. Or so I have heard.
