Teeth are one of those things in this life we take for granted. I mean, I was amazed the other day when I began to think about Teeth. Think of this, as a baby you actually have two sets of Teeth inside your gums. One set of Teeth you get between the infant stage and pre-teens, that will fall out. Another set of Teeth, stored somewhere in your gums, will ultimately replace those that fell out. The second set of Teeth is are last ones you get. I know you may have never thought about it, but it's truly amazing how the cycle of Teeth goes. Where is the 2nd set of Teeth while the first set is growing in or already in?! Why is it that you don't get a third set? Teeth are one of those interesting wonders of the world.
I have to dedicate today's blog to my homegirl. We had the most interesting conversation the other day. If you don't know me by now, let me let you in on a secret: I have zero common sense. I mean, I am fairly intelligent, but I am crazy at the same time. Now that we have established that, we were having a discussion about Teeth. She was explaining to me how she has been in excruciating pain due to the fact that her wisdom Teeth are growing in. I immediately said, "could you imagine the pressure an adult Tooth fairy would have to deal with. I mean, as a kid when you leave your Tooth under your pillow, a dollar or a quarter is substantial, but at 23 your expectations are higher. I jokingly explained to her that if people were to realize that the reward for their Teeth was of significant value, people would be doing any and everything to knock out their Teeth. Think about it, what would you do if you knew that for each one of your Teeth, you would get something like a 42' inch plasma, a new car, or a thousand dollars. The majority of people I know would have dentures or most Ninjas would make it cool to be completely Toothless. The Tooth fairy would be more popular than the weed man. Teeth would be scare like water in the dessert. People would start another world war over a molar or two. Keep Smiling if you want.
